Do you believe in horoscopes?

Posted by admin on Sep 30, 2008

Before you answer, know that the only reason they work is because they're so vague. They've done tests where they have a group of people (around 40) fill out a sheet and tell them they're getting a personalized horoscope. They then get it back and read it and exclaim how right it is. They switch with the person behind them to realize everyone got the same horoscope. Our minds want to believe them so we work them to fit our life. They use statements such as "Money will come and go." Well duh. You get money, you spend money, it's part of life.

I read them for fun

I was going to say something similar to you. I read them occassionally. Whateve you read you can make your mind think of something in your life to relate it too. So not really no.

You're right. They are vague. I never used to believe them.

It's funny though because now I'm hooked on reading my daily horoscope everyday, just to see what it says.

Common sense should tell me horoscopes are bullsh!t.. but they're still interesting.

Horoscopes are written in a vague way as most people under the same sign have similar influences going on in their lives. They cannot be trusted to pertain to only you. If you want accurate information, you should go to a properly trained astrologer who would be able to look at your entire birth chart and compare with the current star chart. That's the only way to get truly accurate information. I know a very good astrologer who, on my first reading with her, gave me detailed information about me that very few people know about me, or that very few people could apply to themselves. I know the readings I've gotten are accurate.

But keep in mind, astrology and horoscopes do not predict what will happen in the future. They can only tell you what influences will be in your life in the future. Only you can determine what your future will be by the choices you make.

I believe in a personalized horoscope created by a professional astrologer I trust.

I don't believe or read very vague and general horoscopes found in newspapers that is meant to apply to all persons with a particular Sun Sign regardless that each individual is unique(since all the planets have constantly changed at each time of birth) though is likely to possess common traits of other individuals because humans cannot simply invent new and never before seen personality traits.

I think that as with most things, you need to take the advice with a grain of salt as the saying goes. Although when you have your chart done, things really seem to be "right", again though the descriptions are vague.

I think the writers keep them vague so that no fingers can be pointed at them and no responsibility can be laid. It's like the weatherperson on the news, the jobs that you can be wrong at everyday and still have a job in the morning.

No I don't, because you're right – they're vague enough to apply to different situations for different types of people. Still… that's never stopped me from reading them!

well i do and then i dont. i wont say they are crap and i wont say they are real. well they do help to see how the day might go but i wont base my entire life on them. so i geuss it is just a pass time for me. because some times they are rite and sometimes wrong.
