What's the difference between a skeptic of astrology and a cynic of astrology?

Seems a skeptic would want proof of the validity of astrology. A cynic would think there seems to be truth to it, but the focus has become negative stereotype, or broad generalization such as horoscopes.

Skeptic – One who instinctively or habitually doubts, questions, or disagrees with assertions or generally accepted conclusions.
Cynic – A person who believes all people are motivated by selfishness. A person whose outlook is scornfully and often habitually negative.
