Astrology was first developed by the Babylonians. As the Greeks were expanding and became aware of it, they expanded astrology and made it their own. Roman astrology/mythology is identical to Greek as the only changes made were the names. Ancient peoples believed the God’s were on the Heavens. They had stories to accompany the figures in the sky. Each God has specific duties or qualities. Henceforth the astrology qualities are based on mythilogical figures/planets (as we know them). Greeks had different names The Romans named the planets after their God’s. Many things that people do have something to do with astrology and/or mythology.
