So a horoscope deals with the NOW and a bit into the future, what energies and experiences that are to be encountered. Within just a natal chart, one can look at the planetary placements and detrmine the potential and preferances that are best suited for the individual. What type of person will best be a match, but not exactly WHO this person may be- just the compatible personality. A natal can also express the path that the person will have in the area of relationships. When taking an astrological look at a relationship between two people- there are two ways to go about it. One is called Synastry- this is where two natal charts are compared- where does person A have their Moon in relation to person B. Where does person B's planets sit within the houses of person A. This will show the amount of likeness and compatibility, or lack thereof. The second way is called Composite- this takes the same two natal charts, some math, and a totally different chart is created. The placements of the planets is determined by the 'half-way' mark of both people. The Composite chart will show the dynamics of the relationship. This type of chart can be used in more ways than just a love relationship.
